In the 6th minute, Putra Ponrang's Prabu Hasudungan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ali Rumangkit. Ali Rumangkit yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Katon Kartiko in the 9th minute of play forced Putra Ponrang's goalkeeper Joni Rangkuti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Katon Kartiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Kirun Irawan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dadeko's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirun Irawan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joni Rangkuti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kirun Irawan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Rumangkit made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jamal Pangaribuan sent off a good shot on target. Ali Rumangkit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamal Pangaribuan in the 18th minute of play. Katon Kartiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dadeko's Katon Kartiko got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jamal Pangaribuan got free in front of the goal in the 27th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ali Rumangkit was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jamal Pangaribuan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ali Rumangkit firmly grabbed it by the left post. Katon Kartiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Joni Rangkuti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Kirun Irawan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joni Rangkuti. Putra Ponrang's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kirun Irawan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prabu Hasudungan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leo Tarusbawa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joni Rangkuti having to make a save. In the 53rd minute, Raka Lisandri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Rumangkit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prabu Hasudungan in the 60th minute of play. Muchtar Abidin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Otong Baskara kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Putra Ponrang's Sakti Mulia got a free kick in the 67th minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Kirun Irawan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dadeko's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirun Irawan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leo Tarusbawa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 78 minutes, Sigit Soesilo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dadeko and the Putra Ponrang players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sigit Soesilo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Dadeko getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Otong Baskara hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Katon Kartiko fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dadeko's Leo Tarusbawa got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Dadeko players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Putra Ponrang from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
