In the 21stth minute of the game Ellie Mardiansyah who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Putra Ponrang's Joni Rangkuti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jamal Pangaribuan scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Suryo Pasaribu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the game, Putra Ponrang's Anthony Garmana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
