Spectators: 8439 (Terracing: 6330, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 168) Matio FC's Robbie Waworuntu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robbie Waworuntu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joni Rangkuti having to interfere. Joni Rangkuti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yayan Hutapea in the 10th minute of the match. If Robbie Waworuntu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, Putra Ponrang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Garmana to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robbie Waworuntu in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joni Rangkuti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jojo Sugiarto scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joni Rangkuti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yayan Hutapea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Joni Rangkuti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Yayan Hutapea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joni Rangkuti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Makbul Waroka hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Matio FC's Daffa Tarmadi got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prabu Hasudungan to make the kick off. Yayan Hutapea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joni Rangkuti having to make a save. Robbie Waworuntu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Joni Rangkuti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Putra Ponrang's Joni Rangkuti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Putra Ponrang from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Garmana in the 63rd minute of play forced Matio FC's goalkeeper Ida Bagus Eibe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Robbie Waworuntu came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Matio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbie Waworuntu couldn't finish the play. Joni Rangkuti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie Waworuntu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, Matio FC's Yayan Hutapea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joni Rangkuti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Prabu Hasudungan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jamal Pangaribuan came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Putra Ponrang fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamal Pangaribuan couldn't finish the play. Prabu Hasudungan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Putra Ponrang's Joni Rangkuti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Putra Ponrang from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Robbie Waworuntu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Putra Ponrang's Parlin Hutagaol got a free kick in the 90th minute. Joni Rangkuti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yayan Hutapea in the 94th minute.
