David Sagala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yadi Surahman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of 于海坚 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 41 played minutes PSM Poerwaredja got a freekick which was hit by Anto Asshidiq. 43 minutes into the game, one of PSM Poerwaredja:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, 于海坚, was totally fooled by Malaka's Nakula Sinambela, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidharta Mulyana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anton Haryono's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwan Sutanto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Malaka were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of PSM Poerwaredja for a fine match.
