The supporters of PSI Tempino booed when PSB Haoetimoen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucky Subagio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, PSI Tempino's Widodo Sitorus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mahyadi Sutrisna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PSI Tempino reached it. Lucky Subagio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Johannes Aswatama managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSI Tempino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Aswatama was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PSB Haoetimoen's Mahyadi Sutrisna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save PSB Haoetimoen from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hikmat Sumardi in the 12th minute of play forced PSI Tempino's goalkeeper Daud Rupawan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hikmat Sumardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Daud Rupawan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hikmat Sumardi during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Johannes Aswatama's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mahyadi Sutrisna was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Mahyadi Sutrisna came out of the goal and Johannes Aswatama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hikmat Sumardi was the one to do the kick off. Johannes Aswatama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. PSB Haoetimoen's Mahyadi Sutrisna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Aswatama in the 62nd minute of play. I Made Yudhistira charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed I Made Yudhistira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to PSI Tempino getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. I Made Yudhistira hit a great ball. Micky Rinaldi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daud Rupawan. PSI Tempino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mahyadi Sutrisna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Aswatama in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Aswatama in the 76th minute of play forced PSB Haoetimoen's goalkeeper Mahyadi Sutrisna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daus Rumaropen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahyadi Sutrisna having to interfere. Hikmat Sumardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PSB Haoetimoen's Rafli Samosir got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daud Rupawan was a little too slow when Hikmat Sumardi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-4. 90 minutes into the match, PSI Tempino's Daus Rumaropen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mahyadi Sutrisna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Oji Wardhana fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PSB Haoetimoen's protests and gave Oji Wardhana a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PSI Tempino booed when PSB Haoetimoen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oji Wardhana didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PSB Haoetimoen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
