With a little luck, PSB Haoetimoen's Mahyadi Sutrisna got control of the ball when Freek Wolf tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aming Kuncoro in the 10th minute of play forced PSB Haoetimoen's goalkeeper Mahyadi Sutrisna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Rully Lasut ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mahyadi Sutrisna was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Rully Lasut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Mahyadi Sutrisna made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Freek Wolf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Freek Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mahyadi Sutrisna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aming Kuncoro in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rully Lasut got free with Mahyadi Sutrisna in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mahyadi Sutrisna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freek Wolf, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 39th minute, Java's Aming Kuncoro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mahyadi Sutrisna. Egi Bajuri was slow to take the kick. During this time Java's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Timotius Husodo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 47 minutes of play, Java's Rully Lasut made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mahyadi Sutrisna was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Mahyadi Sutrisna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aming Kuncoro in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by PSB Haoetimoen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After a defensive mix-up in PSB Haoetimoen's zone, Aming Kuncoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mahyadi Sutrisna came out of the goal and Aming Kuncoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, PSB Haoetimoen's Luhut Rusandi got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Egi Bajuri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Java's supporters rose to their feet, but Egi Bajuri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mahyadi Sutrisna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mahyadi Sutrisna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aming Kuncoro in the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind PSB Haoetimoen's goalkeeper Mahyadi Sutrisna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that Java were the better team. Java's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
