Jehad Listiyantoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Bărbuceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guruh Sudarno hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Egi Bajuri sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Metro Tower's Concetto Penna didn't even have to move. 13 minutes into the match, Metro Tower's goal looked a bit too open when Rully Lasut came free, but Concetto Penna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Bărbuceanu scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jehad Listiyantoro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guruh Sudarno hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Farhat Kurnaedi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Concetto Penna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aryo Febrian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Farhat Kurnaedi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jehad Listiyantoro firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Java's Buyung Mardiansyah got a free kick in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Farhat Kurnaedi got free with Jehad Listiyantoro in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Timotius Husodo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Java fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Bărbuceanu in the 42nd minute of play forced Java's goalkeeper Jehad Listiyantoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 45 in the game by Farhat Kurnaedi from a close distance when the talented Jehad Listiyantoro managed to make a qualified save. Java's players were relieved. Egi Bajuri charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egi Bajuri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Egi Bajuri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Java were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rully Lasut made a kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Rully Lasut sped through Metro Tower's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Concetto Penna. Timotius Husodo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Concetto Penna made a huge save. Concetto Penna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rully Lasut in the 61st minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Arul Saragih put in a rough tackle. Arul Saragih kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Egi Bajuri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Concetto Penna made a huge save. 69 minutes into the match, Metro Tower's Edgar Bărbuceanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jehad Listiyantoro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgar Bărbuceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jehad Listiyantoro having to interfere. Egi Bajuri hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Metro Tower's Ridwan Hadiningrat got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rully Lasut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Concetto Penna made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Ridwan Hadiningrat notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Java's Jehad Listiyantoro. Jehad Listiyantoro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Timotius Husodo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Concetto Penna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jehad Listiyantoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Bărbuceanu went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
