Darman Avianto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arief Anhar, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Zulkifli Sujana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rio Sialagan in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Perdigão in the 12th minute of play forced PPSM Magelang's goalkeeper Darman Avianto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rio Sialagan scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zulkifli Sujana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zulkifli Sujana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oman Katehokang in the 29th minute. Sakti Haeruddin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Rio Sialagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zulkifli Sujana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lupus United's Arief Anhar in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PPSM Magelang's goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rio Sialagan to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Haji Bolot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PPSM Magelang's Darman Avianto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Lupus United booed when PPSM Magelang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sakti Haeruddin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, PPSM Magelang's Musa Raturandang got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Arief Anhar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lupus United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arief Anhar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zulkifli Sujana came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by PPSM Magelang's Rio Sialagan. But to his dismay, Rio Sialagan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Arief Anhar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in PPSM Magelang's zone, Arief Anhar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darman Avianto came out of the goal and Arief Anhar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darman Avianto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Imran Baihaqi in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Imran Baihaqi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Darman Avianto. Imran Baihaqi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 77 minutes into the match, PPSM Magelang's goalkeeper Darman Avianto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arief Anhar. Thanks to some nice moves Arief Anhar could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Darman Avianto however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 82 minutes, Imran Baihaqi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lupus United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Imran Baihaqi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 minutes, Djati Kusumah mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PPSM Magelang and the Lupus United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Haji Bolot struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Darman Avianto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lupus United. After 96 played minutes Lupus United got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Mantra. When the referee ended the match the PPSM Magelang players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
