The corner led Giant's Makbul Sahetappy to fire away a dangerous shot which Ray Clemence despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 32nd minute Frederico Hendrickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvin Julianto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arvin Julianto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Hendrickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kakhi Maut. PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hardy Karaeng in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded PHOENIX SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Giant.
