The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item got control of the ball when Tiburcio Ledesma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niels Henning hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Azevedo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Putra Rewulu's Adrianus Tambunan. Adrianus Tambunan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the game, Anak Selby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandung Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Putra Rewulu the free kick. Anak Selby hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Azevedo in the 94th minute of play forced Putra Rewulu's goalkeeper Adrianus Tambunan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
