Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tuyen Quang's Đặng Tan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Võ Hong Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 4 played minutes Vi Thanh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Duc. Võ Hong Minh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phạm Thi Ngoc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Đặng Tan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vi Thanh's Nguyễn Minh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phạm Tuan charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phạm Tuan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Vi Thanh got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Tuan. After 16 minutes of play, Tuyen Quang's Đặng Tan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Minh was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Phu in the 19th minute of play forced Tuyen Quang's goalkeeper Phạm Thi Ngoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phạm Thi Ngoc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Võ Hong Minh went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Dương Binh hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đặng Tan in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Tuyen Quang got a freekick which was hit by Trần Nam. Tuyen Quang's Phạm Thi Ngoc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Phu in the 26th minute of play. Phạm Thi Ngoc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Phu's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes Tuyen Quang got a freekick which was hit by Lê Viet. After 30 played minutes, Vi Thanh's Nguyễn Loc shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Phạm Thi Ngoc came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vi Thanh reached it. When Đặng Tan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nguyễn Minh was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Phan Tu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tuyen Quang's goalkeeper Phạm Thi Ngoc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Thien during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tuyen Quang getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Nguyễn Thien hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Võ Hong Minh to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Võ Hong Minh took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Phạm Thi Ngoc to make any attempt to save it. Nguyễn Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đặng Tan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Tuyen Quang's zone, Nguyễn Phu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phạm Thi Ngoc came out of the goal and Nguyễn Phu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Võ Hong Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Tuyen Quang got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Diem. Phan Tu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nguyễn Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80thth minute of the game Đặng Tan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vi Thanh's Nguyễn Minh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute Đặng Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Tuyen Quang's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Loc came free, but Phạm Thi Ngoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phạm Thi Ngoc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nguyễn Phu went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Đặng Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
