Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dong Thap's Trần Chuong started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vương Phong got free with Phan Thi Ngoc in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nguyễn Binh kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Trần Chuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Phan Thi Ngoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute of the match Nguyễn Thi Ngoc sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phan Thi Ngoc skillfully saved the ball. Phan Thi Ngoc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Văn Thanh in the 19th minute. Nguyễn Binh hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Trần Chuong kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Phan Thi Ngoc. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Trần Chuong struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Phan Thi Ngoc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dong Thap. If Đỗ Dong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vương Phong in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Phan Thi Ngoc, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vương Phong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Phan Thi Ngoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phan Thi Ngoc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vương Phong went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lê Bien stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hồ Hong charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hồ Hong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Dong Thap got a freekick which was hit by Hồ Hong. When nielovemon's Lê Bien in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dong Thap's goalie prevented a goal. Đỗ Dong in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Võ Cadeo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Trần Chuong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phan Thi Ngoc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Lê Bien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Võ Cadeo having to interfere. Lê Bien kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Nguyễn Diem's late challenge caught a Dong Thap's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Diem helped the player get up and apologised. 80 minutes into the match, Dong Thap's Nguyễn Thi Ngoc broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Trần Chuong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Huỳnh Nga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind nielovemon's goalkeeper Phan Thi Ngoc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Binh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Võ Cadeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dong Thap's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
