Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd minute, Phan Than hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Lê Van Quyen notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hải Phòng FC's Nguyễn Thuy. Nguyễn Thuy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 9 minutes into the match, Trần Loc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tạ Bien. Chu Son's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Loc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Phan Than kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nguyễn Thuy. That made the score 2-1 in the 14 minute of play. Nguyễn Thuy made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Lê Van Quyen sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Phu charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Phu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hải Phòng FC's Nguyễn Thuy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Than in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Hồ Dung ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nguyễn Thuy was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chu Son's zone, Trần Loc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tạ Bien came out of the goal and Trần Loc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Loc in the 40th minute of play forced Chu Son's goalkeeper Tạ Bien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Hải Phòng FC's Nguyễn Thuy got control of the ball when Hồ Dung tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phan Than's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Thuy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The wind increased when Trần Loc made the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Thuy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Van Quyen in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Phan Than shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thuy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chu Son's zone, Phan Tuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tạ Bien came out of the goal and Phan Tuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Thuy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Loc in the 62nd minute of play. Phạm Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Loc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tạ Bien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Thuy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Than, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute Trần Loc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tạ Bien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Phu kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Nguyễn Thuy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Van Quyen, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Phạm Thi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Trần Loc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hải Phòng FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chu Son the free kick. Phạm Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chu Son's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
