Hồ Dungs short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Trương Liem to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Trương Liem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Than, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Phan Than took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Trương Liem to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Manchester Uniteds's Trương Liem got control of the ball when Hồ Dung tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trương Liem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Than in the 36th minute of the match. Hồ Dung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trương Liem having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Lê Van Quyen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 41 in the game by Hồ Dung from a close distance when the talented Trương Liem managed to make a qualified save. Manchester Uniteds's players were relieved. Nguyễn Hoai's late challenge caught a Chu Son's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Hoai helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chu Son booed when Manchester Uniteds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Hoai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phan Than made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Nghiêm Huỳnh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Phạm Viet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tạ Bien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Hồ Dung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chu Son's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hồ Dung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute, Phan Than made a precise shot to the right of Trương Liem. Manchester Uniteds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Nguyễn Hong got a throw-in 79 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Trần Loc. Trần Phuc's late challenge caught a Chu Son's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chu Son reached it. Phan Than sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Trần Loc came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Chu Son fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Loc couldn't finish the play. Trương Liem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hồ Dung in the 90th minute of the match. Phan Than recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hồ Dung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Phan Than came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Chu Son fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phan Than couldn't finish the play. After 97 played minutes Chu Son got a freekick which was hit by Nghiêm Huỳnh. There was no doubt that Chu Son were the better team. Chu Son's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
