Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Đinh Duong made the kick off which started today's match. Nguyễn Tan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Loc having to interfere. Phạm Loc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đinh Duong, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Nguyễn Tan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phạm Loc having to make a save. With his leg Phạm Loc managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Phu Yen's Nguyễn Tan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ca Mau's Phạm Loc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đinh Duong in the 18th minute of play. Phạm Loc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Tan in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Nguyễn Minh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ca Mau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Nguyễn Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Phuoc having to interfere. Phạm Loc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đinh Duong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trần Hoai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Phuoc having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Phu Yen's Nguyễn Tan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Phạm Loc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 46 minutes, Nguyễn Tu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ca Mau and the Phu Yen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nguyễn Tan might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phạm Loc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Tan ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Minh to make the kick off. After 52nd play minutes Trần Hoai shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Trần Phuoc and just under the crossbar into goal. Trần Phuoc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Phuoc in the 56th minute of play. Trần Hoai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ca Mau's Nguyễn Minh was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 60th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 66th minute Trần Xuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Phuoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Nguyễn Khoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nguyễn Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ca Mau's zone, Nguyễn Tan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phạm Loc came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Phu Yen's Trần Phuoc got control of the ball when Phan Phuoc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phan Phuoc hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes Ca Mau got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Minh. Đinh Duong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trần Xuan during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Phu Yen booed when Ca Mau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Xuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Đinh Duong notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Ca Mau's Phạm Loc. Phạm Loc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Ca Mau players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
