Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Tuan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nguyễn Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mai Phu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hoàng Thi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mai Phu having to make a save. Trần Huy struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Nguyễn Duc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bac Kan. Vi Thanh's Nguyễn Duc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Liem in the 16th minute of play. If Trần Huy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Vi Thanh's Nguyễn Khoi got a free kick in the 18th minute. When Phan Liem came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Bac Kan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phan Liem couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Phan Liem fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nguyễn Duc, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Bac Kan booed when Vi Thanh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phan Liem struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Nguyễn Duc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bac Kan. Mai Phu came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Vi Thanh's Hoàng Thi. But to his dismay, Hoàng Thi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 45 minutes, Hoàng Thi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vi Thanh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hoàng Thi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Bac Kan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vi Thanh were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phan Liem made a kick off. Mai Phu came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vi Thanh's Hoàng Thi. But to his dismay, Hoàng Thi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Phan Liem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Duc having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Nguyễn Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vi Thanh's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Tuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mai Phu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lý Tho kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Hoàng Thi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mai Phu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 79 minutes into the game, one of Vi Thanh:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hoàng Thi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phan Liem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Duc having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Vi Thanh's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Liem came free, but Nguyễn Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
