Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Võ Bay took the kick off in the first half of the match. Võ Bay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Phan Cong Vinh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Ritchell. Nguyễn Ritchell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Nguyễn Thi Ngoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Da Lat's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 19th match minute, Da Lat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Hieu to maneuver through the defense. Phan Cong Vinh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đặng Duc in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hoàng Minh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Ritchell was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Phan Cong Vinh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Võ Bay, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Võ Bay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hoàng Minh to strike the kick off in the second half. Việt Nam's Nguyễn Ritchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 52nd minute of play. Võ Bay kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a good free kick, Võ Bay got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Da Lat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Loc in the 58th minute of play forced Da Lat's goalkeeper Phan Cong Vinh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Da Lat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Việt Nam the free kick. Võ Dung kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Nguyễn Thi Ngoc put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nguyễn Ritchell. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Ritchell having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Phạm Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Việt Nam's supporters rose to their feet, but Phạm Loc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phan Cong Vinh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 97th minute of play forced Việt Nam's goalkeeper Nguyễn Ritchell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 99th minute, Đặng Duc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Da Lat had won after a very even match.
