Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trần Tuan Hoang started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in HOANG ANH FC's zone, Hoàng Tuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phan Tuan came out of the goal and Hoàng Tuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute of the match, Hoàng Tuan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Phan Tuan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Nguyễn Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chung Minh Phượng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hoàng Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phạm Thanh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Hung, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Phu Yen's Chung Minh Phượng got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hoàng Tuan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Phan Tuan came out and tried to block the shot, but Hoàng Tuan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. After 29 played minutes Phu Yen got a freekick which was hit by Phan Van Tai Em. Trần Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Phạm Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Nguyễn Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot. HOANG ANH FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Hung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phạm Thanh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ngô Nhật Minh in the 42nd minute of play forced Phu Yen's goalkeeper Phạm Thanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Phạm Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hoàng Tuan to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, HOANG ANH FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hoàng Tuan came free, but Phan Tuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trần Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Phạm Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Phu Yen got a freekick which was hit by Hồ Hoai. Phạm Thanh made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Nguyễn Hung sent off a good shot on target. Ngô Quang Thanh charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ngô Quang Thanh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to HOANG ANH FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ngô Quang Thanh hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, HOANG ANH FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chung Minh Phượng came free, but Phan Tuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, HOANG ANH FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ngô Nhật Minh to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Thanh having to interfere.
