Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ben Tre's Nguyễn Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai Cuc in the 7th minute of play. If Mai Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Quang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mai Ho took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Minh. Nguyễn Minh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 17th minute Nguyễn Quang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Ho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Lê Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lê Thuyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Duc in the 24th minute of the match. Nguyễn Ho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of 3supiter booed when Ben Tre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chung Phuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Tuan Hoang took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Minh. Ben Tre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mai Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Minh having to interfere. In the 31st minute Nguyễn Quang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Minh came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by 3supiter's Mai Cuc. But to his dismay, Mai Cuc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Mai Ho fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 3supiter's protests and gave Mai Ho a yellow card for diving instead. When Mai Cuc, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nguyễn Minh was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mai Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mai Cuc to strike the kick off in the second half. If Nguyễn Quang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Minh came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by 3supiter's Nguyễn Quang. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Quang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nguyễn Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mai Cuc in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Phan Duc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Thuyet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Nguyễn Minh stood somewhat misplaced when Hồ Phuoc came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Nguyễn Ho struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Lê Thuyet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ben Tre. Phan Duc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Lê Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mai Cuc in the 82nd minute of play forced Ben Tre's goalkeeper Nguyễn Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of 3supiter booed when Ben Tre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Ho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Quang came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nguyễn Minh could save by the left post. If Nguyễn Quang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mai Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ben Tre's zone, Mai Cuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Minh came out of the goal and Mai Cuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The 3supiter supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 3supiter would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
