Hung Yen's Tạ Thuyet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Hung Yen from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Thi Ngoc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tạ Thuyet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nguyễn Thi Ngoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc's late challenge caught a Hung Yen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc helped the player get up and apologised. Tạ Thuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Thi Ngoc, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Hung Yen's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Thi Ngoc came free, but Tạ Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hung Yen booed when Hung Yen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Hoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trần Hoa to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nguyễn Thi Ngoc came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Hung Yen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Thi Ngoc couldn't finish the play. Tạ Thuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Thi Ngoc, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Hung Yen's Tạ Thuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Duong in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Thi Ngoc notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Hung Yen's Tạ Thuyet. Tạ Thuyet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hung Yen's Tạ Thuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 66th minute of play. Nguyễn Duong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Nguyễn Thi Ngoc made a precise shot to the right of Tạ Thuyet. Hung Yen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tạ Thuyet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Hung Yen's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Duong came free, but Tạ Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tạ Thuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Thi Ngoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes Hung Yen got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Cadeo. Tạ Thuyet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nguyễn Duong went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tạ Thuyet having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Huỳnh Loc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tạ Thuyet. Hung Yen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huỳnh Loc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0.
