Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Võ Phuc put in a rough tackle. 13 minutes into the match, Thua Thien-Hue's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Nam came free, but Dương Minh Phượng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dương Minh Phượng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Nam in the 15th minute of play. Nguyễn Hieu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Huỳnh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thai having to interfere. Nguyễn Thai was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lê Thanh. After 33 minutes of play, Thua Thien-Hue's Dương Nam made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dương Minh Phượng was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dương Minh Phượng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dương Nam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, Thua Thien-Hue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Huỳnh to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Nguyễn Nam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Minh Phượng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Thua Thien-Hue's Dương Nam in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thua Thien-Hue's goalie prevented a goal.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nguyễn Nam to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Thua Thien-Hue's Nguyễn Huỳnh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Thai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Thua Thien-Hue getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Nguyễn Huỳnh hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dương Nam kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dương Minh Phượng. That made the score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. Dương Minh Phượng made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Dương Nam sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Thua Thien-Hue's Nguyễn Nam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dương Minh Phượng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dương Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dương Minh Phượng having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Dinh in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Thai saved Thua Thien-Hue from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Thua Thien-Hue's Nguyễn Hieu got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Lê Thanh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Thai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Nguyễn Dinh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Nguyễn Than managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thua Thien-Hue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Than was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 played minutes Thua Thien-Hue got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Huỳnh. In the 86th minute of the match Nguyễn Loc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Thai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, Nguyễn Dinh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nguyễn Nam struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Dương Minh Phượng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thua Thien-Hue. Lê Phu kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Nguyễn Van Tai Em took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dương Minh Phượng. Thua Thien-Hue's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Thua Thien-Hue eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
