Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nguyễn Liem made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Nguyễn Liem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buon Ma Thuot's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Liem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phạm Tuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, Lê Chi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Buon Ma Thuot's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Lê Chi scored to the left of an out of position Nguyễn Thanh, making the score, 1-0. Nguyễn Liem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Tuan having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Van Tai Em lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Nguyễn Thanh. In the 33rd minute, Nguyễn Liem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th of the match, Lê Chi tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Nguyễn Thanh got in the way and made a wonderful save. Tam Ky's Nguyễn Van Tai Em got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phạm Tuan Hoang was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tam Ky's zone, Trần Chung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phạm Tuan came out of the goal and Trần Chung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the game, one of Buon Ma Thuot:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Tam Ky a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Phạm Tuan Hoang, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Buon Ma Thuot's Nguyễn Thanh. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lê Chi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Van Tai Em struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Nguyễn Thanh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tam Ky. Nguyễn Thanh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Van Tai Em in the 60th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Buon Ma Thuot:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tam Ky:s goal. Nguyễn Thanh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Van Tai Em in the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Buon Ma Thuot's zone, Nguyễn Van Tai Em stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Thanh came out of the goal and Nguyễn Van Tai Em tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Phạm Tuan managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Buon Ma Thuot's Trần Chung fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Phạm Tuan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trần Chung went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Nguyễn Van Tai Em sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Nguyễn Liem fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Phạm Tuan, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Dong during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, Nguyễn Dong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Đỗ Diem fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tam Ky's protests and gave Đỗ Diem a yellow card for diving instead. Tam Ky's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
