Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trần Chi started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Tran Fc getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Lê Tuan hit a great ball. With a little luck, Tran Fc's Trần Thi Ngoc got control of the ball when Nguyễn Huy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trần Thanh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Trần Thi Ngoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Tran Fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Chung Hanh fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Tran Fc's zone, Chung Hanh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Thi Ngoc came out of the goal and Chung Hanh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tran Fc's Trần Tho got a free kick in the 21st minute. Trần Thi Ngoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Thanh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Phan Tấn Dũng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes Tran Fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nguyễn Huy who took care of the corner kick. 34 minutes into the game, Chung Hanh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lai Chau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tran Fc the free kick. The supporters of Tran Fc booed when Lai Chau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chung Hanh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trần Thanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Thi Ngoc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chung Hanh in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When Lai Chau's Chung Hanh in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tran Fc's goalie prevented a goal. Trần Thi Ngoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Thanh, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Huỳnh Nam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tran Fc getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Lê Tuan hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, Tran Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phan Tấn Dũng to maneuver through the defense. Lai Chau's Đỗ Loc pulled a muscle in his leg after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Huỳnh Nam during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Huỳnh Nam hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chung Hanh in the 69th minute of play forced Tran Fc's goalkeeper Trần Thi Ngoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Thanh charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Thanh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 78 minutes into the game, Chung Hanh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Trần Thi Ngoc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Phan Tấn Dũng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tran Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Tấn Dũng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Duc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Lai Chau's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Tấn Dũng came free, but Nguyễn Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chung Hanh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Thi Ngoc having to interfere.
