If Trần Thien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. trertrau's Trần Thien got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Huỳnh came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by trertrau's Văn Bay. But to his dismay, Văn Bay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Phan Minh-ha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lê Dung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Huỳnh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Văn Bay in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, one of trertrau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for trertrau. The goalkeeper, Lê Dung, was totally fooled by Binh Dinh's Lưu Tu, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nguyễn Huỳnh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trần Thien went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Binh Dinh getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Nguyễn Xuan hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Văn Bay to make the kick off. Nguyễn Huỳnh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Văn Bay, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Văn Bay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Huỳnh. Binh Dinh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Văn Bay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Văn Bay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Huỳnh having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Văn Bay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. trertrau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Binh Dinh the free kick. After a rather tough play, trertrau's Văn Bay got a free kick in the 67th minute. The audience held their breath when Lưu Tu in the 70th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Lê Dung's left hand side. Huỳnh Tuan Hoang hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Văn Bay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Huỳnh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Huỳnh Tuan Hoang during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, trertrau's Huỳnh Tuan Hoang got a free kick in the 77th minute. During the 79th minute of the match Huỳnh Pham completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Huỳnh Pham a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of trertrau:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Binh Dinh:s goal. In the 83rd minute, Phan Minh-ha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Dung was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Xuan in the 86th minute of play forced trertrau's goalkeeper Lê Dung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Binh Dinh getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Lê Xuan hit a great ball. Trần Thien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Phan Xuan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 100th match minute, Binh Dinh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Huy to maneuver through the defense. Binh Dinh succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though trertrau had controlled the match.
