Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Loc to make the kick off. In the 73rd match minute, Nguyen Gia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lưu Hong Minh to maneuver through the defense. Lê Ho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Loc in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Nhật Minh in the 77th minute of play forced Binh Duong's goalkeeper Lê Ho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lê Ho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phạm Nhật Minh, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
