Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Tran took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Đinh Van Quyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Duc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 minutes of play, Nam Dinh's Đinh Van Quyen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trần Duc was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the match, Vinh Long's goal looked a bit too open when Đinh Van Quyen came free, but Trần Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Nam Dinh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Nam to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Vinh Long's zone, Đinh Van Quyen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Duc came out of the goal and Đinh Van Quyen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trần Duc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đinh Van Quyen in the 20th minute of play. Trần Duc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Duc having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Lien was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinh Long's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nam Dinh the free kick. Đinh Van Quyen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinh Long's Trần Duc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Duc in the 32nd minute of play. Nguyễn Hieu made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Trần Hoai sent off a good shot on target. Trần Duc might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trần Duc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Duc ran back to his position shaking his head. Trần Hoai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nguyễn Hieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huỳnh Khoi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Đinh Van Quyen to make the kick off. A collision led to Vinh Long getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Dương Thuy hit a great ball. The supporters of Nam Dinh booed when Vinh Long was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes Nam Dinh got a freekick which was hit by Huỳnh Khoi. 61 minutes into the match, Vinh Long's goal looked a bit too open when Huỳnh Khoi came free, but Trần Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Trần Dung fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nam Dinh's protests and gave Trần Dung a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nam Dinh getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Trần Dung hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match Vương Hoa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Hieu skillfully saved the ball. When Vinh Long's Nguyễn Tran in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nam Dinh's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th play minute Trần Duc came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Trần Duc. 1-3. Trần Duc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trần Duc in the 81st minute. Nguyễn Hieu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Hoai in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rdth minute of the game Trần Hoai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nam Dinh's Nguyễn Hieu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nguyễn Hieu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Hoai in the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Nam Dinh getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Trần Duc hit a great ball. Nguyễn Tran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nguyễn Hieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Nguyễn Dinh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
