Vinh Long's Trần Duc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Vinh Long from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Tran made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Vương Hoa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Thanh Hoa's Trần Phuong.
