Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) PleiKu's Trần Mai started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Cao Bang getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Nguyễn Hung hit a great ball. The supporters of PleiKu booed when Cao Bang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Hung didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes Cao Bang got a freekick which was hit by Phùng Phuoc. When Trần Mai, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 8 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hồ Dung was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Hồ Dung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Mai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Lý Hoang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cao Bang's supporters rose to their feet, but Lý Hoang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Hoai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trần Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bùi Viet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute of the match, Lý Hoang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Trần Hoai saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nguyễn Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Trần Hoai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Mai in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hồ Dung saved Cao Bang from getting behind. Hồ Dung came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by PleiKu's Lê Hoang. But to his dismay, Lê Hoang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 48 minutes, Bùi Viet made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. PleiKu's Trần Hoai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lý Hoang to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match, Trần Mai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hồ Dung saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hồ Dung, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Trần Hoai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lý Hoang, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lý Hoang struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Trần Hoai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cao Bang. After a defensive mix-up in Cao Bang's zone, Trần Mai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hồ Dung came out of the goal and Trần Mai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th match minute, PleiKu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Dung to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Tran was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 99th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
