Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trần Anh Hung started the match with the kick off. Lê Hoang struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Nguyễn Tho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PleiKu. Trần Mai might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Tho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Mai ran back to his position shaking his head. 13 minutes into the match, Trần Anh Hung had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trần Hoai. PleiKu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Anh Hung was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Nguyễn Tuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trần Hoai was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Lê Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tho having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Trần Mai managed to get in a good position for a shot. PleiKu's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Mai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Tho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 26 minutes, Nguyễn Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ha Giang's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Tuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Nguyễn Tuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trần Hoai was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The supporters of PleiKu booed when Ha Giang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Đặng Hoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lê Hoang was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. PleiKu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 40 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Thanh Bình was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ha Giang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PleiKu the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Ha Giang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Thanh Bình to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Trần Viet in the 44th minute really tested Nguyễn Tho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Trần Mai made the kick off in the second half. Huỳnh Quang Thanh made a great header on PleiKu's corner, it was just that Ha Giang's Nguyễn Tho managed to reach the ball for a save. After 58 played minutes PleiKu got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Nghiêm-Minh. Nguyễn Tuan came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Trần Hoai could save by the left post. Nguyễn Tho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Hoang, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 67 minutes into the match, PleiKu's goalkeeper Trần Hoai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Tuan. A collision led to PleiKu getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nguyễn Dung hit a great ball. If Trần Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huỳnh Pham kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Lê Hoang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Trần Anh Hung recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trần Hoai. Trần Anh Hung showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 79th minute of the match Trần Viet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Tho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 81st match minute, Ha Giang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huỳnh Pham to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Tho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Mai in the 83rd minute of play. Nguyễn Tho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Hoang in the 85th minute of play. Nguyễn Tuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trần Mai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Tho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The PleiKu manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ha Giang to win.
