Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 7th minute, Phạm Nghiêm-Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Nam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trần Hoai. PleiKu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 10th minute, Phan Phuc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Son La fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Trần Phuong kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Son La's Đào Ho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Mai in the 13th minute of play. Trần Hoai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Tấn Dũng in the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Son La got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Ritchell. Đoàn Khoi charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Đoàn Khoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Đoàn Khoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Phan Phuc took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Trần Hoai to make any attempt to save it. Đào Ho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Mai's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Son La's Trần Tấn Dũng ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Trần Hoai. Trần Hoai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 34th minute, Trần Tấn Dũng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lê Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Đào Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Trần Mai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Đào Ho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 43 minutes into the game, one of PleiKu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
The wind increased when Trần Mai made the kick off in the second half. If Trần Tấn Dũng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Nam was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nguyễn Dung hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Son La's Trần Tấn Dũng in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PleiKu's goalie prevented a goal. If Trần Tấn Dũng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Khoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Son La's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PleiKu the free kick. The supporters of PleiKu booed when Son La was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Khoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind PleiKu's goalkeeper Trần Hoai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Đào Ho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Mai's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Trần Phuong hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Lê Hoang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Tấn Dũng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trần Mai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Đào Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Mai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đào Ho having to interfere. Trần Mai was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Trần Phuong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Son La's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Phuong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Hoai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Son La fans cheered their team off the field, for while PleiKu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
