Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Phuoc Tich's Hoàng Phuc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nguyễn Pham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Van Quyen in the 5th minute of play. Nguyễn Loc's late challenge caught a Ha Dong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Loc helped the player get up and apologised. Phuoc Tich's Hoàng Phuc got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Huỳnh Phu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Hồ Loc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phuoc Tich. A collision led to Ha Dong getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Đinh Cadeo hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Huỳnh Phu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phuoc Tich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Huỳnh Phu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Van Quyen in the 29th minute of play forced Phuoc Tich's goalkeeper Nguyễn Pham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Lê Van Quyen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phuoc Tich's Nguyễn Pham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phan Lan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nguyễn Pham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huỳnh Phu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Phuoc hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Huỳnh Phu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hồ Loc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lê Van Quyen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Pham having to interfere. Lê Van Quyen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nguyễn Pham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Lê Van Quyen made the kick off in the second half. Trần Phuoc kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Lê Van Quyen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nguyễn Pham. The goal made the score 0-1. After 58 minutes, Đinh Cadeo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ha Dong and the Phuoc Tich players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Ha Dong got a freekick which was hit by Đinh Cadeo. In the 60th minute Huỳnh Phu collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. When Phan Nguyet fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ha Dong's protests and gave Phan Nguyet a yellow card for diving instead. Phan Nguyet kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Nguyễn Pham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Van Quyen in the 64th minute of the match. If Hoàng Phuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ha Dong's zone, Hoàng Phuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hồ Loc came out of the goal and Hoàng Phuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ha Dong's Hồ Loc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hoàng Phuc in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Ha Dong's goal looked a bit too open when Hoàng Phuc came free, but Hồ Loc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phan Lan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Nguyễn Pham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Phuoc kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hoàng Phuc in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hồ Loc saved Ha Dong from getting behind. Hoàng Phuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Nguyễn Tinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Hoàng Phuc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
