Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) PleiKu's Trần Mai started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Lê Hoang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Trần Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th match minute, PleiKu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phạm Nghiêm-Minh to maneuver through the defense. Phạm Van Tai Em's shot from long distance in the 24th minute was not bad at all, but PleiKu's Trần Hoai knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. With a little luck, PleiKu's Trần Hoai got control of the ball when Phạm Pham tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Mai in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lương Nghiêm-Minh saved Hung Yen from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Hung Yen's Nguyễn Hieu Ngan got a free kick in the 29th minute. A collision led to PleiKu getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Huỳnh Quang Thanh hit a great ball. Phạm Pham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Hoai having to interfere. During the 44th minute of the match Nguyễn Hieu Ngan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nguyễn Hieu Ngan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phạm Pham was the one to do the kick off. Hung Yen's Lương Nghiêm-Minh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Hung Yen from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as PleiKu's Trần Mai slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lương Nghiêm-Minh. That made the score 0-1 after 54 minutes of play. Trần Mai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Lương Nghiêm-Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Phạm Thien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nguyễn Duong fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hung Yen's protests and gave Nguyễn Duong a yellow card for diving instead. Nguyễn Duong hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Thien in the 75th minute of play forced PleiKu's goalkeeper Trần Hoai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Phạm Pham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hung Yen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phạm Pham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phạm Pham in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trần Hoai saved PleiKu from getting behind. Lê Hoang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Lương Nghiêm-Minh made a huge save. Lê Hoang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lương Nghiêm-Minh came out and tried to block the shot, but Lê Hoang slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 90th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PleiKu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
