In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind bạc liêu's goalkeeper Triệu Nghiêm-Minh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Quang Thanh kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. bạc liêu's Nguyễn Quang Thanh pulled a muscle in his back after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 12 minutes, Trần Thi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haichuafc and the bạc liêu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Haichuafc's Trần Thi got a free kick in the 13th minute. Hoàng Tuyet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hoàng Tuyet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Triệu Nghiêm-Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Triệu Nghiêm-Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Nhật Minh in the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in bạc liêu's zone, Đào Phuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Triệu Nghiêm-Minh came out of the goal and Đào Phuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haichuafc's Phan Nga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Haichuafc from getting a goal against them. In the 43rdth minute of the game Hoàng Tuyet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but bạc liêu's Triệu Nghiêm-Minh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trần Nhật Minh to make the kick off. Trần Phong struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Phan Nga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for bạc liêu. In the 55th minute Phan Khoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Nga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hoàng Tuyet's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Triệu Nghiêm-Minh skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hoàng Tuyet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Triệu Nghiêm-Minh made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Nhật Minh in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Triệu Nghiêm-Minh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Triệu Nghiêm-Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Nhật Minh in the 73rd minute of play. Trần Thi was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 75th match minute, Haichuafc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Thi to maneuver through the defense. Phan Nga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Hieu, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Trần Phong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phan Nga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. When Đào Phuc came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Haichuafc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đào Phuc couldn't finish the play. If Trần Phong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Phong scored 1-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phan Nga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trần Phong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Phan Nga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
