Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bien Hoa's Vũ Ho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Bien Hoa's Vũ Ho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Phan Khoi. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. With his leg Phan Khoi managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Bien Hoa's Trần Thanh fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bắc Kạn's Phan Khoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vũ Ho in the 10th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Bien Hoa's Vũ Ho made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Phan Khoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nghiêm Nhật Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Dung having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Nghiêm Nhật Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bắc Kạn's supporters rose to their feet, but Nghiêm Nhật Minh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Dung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Vũ Ho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Khoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Cuc kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Trần Thanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Vũ Ho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phan Khoi was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Dung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nghiêm Nhật Minh in the 29th minute of play. Trần Thanh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phan Khoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Nghiêm Nhật Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nguyễn Dung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bùi Diem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46thth minute of the game Trần Thanh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bắc Kạn's Phan Khoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nghiêm Nhật Minh made a kick off. Nghiêm Nhật Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Trần Thanh managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 71st minute of the match Bien Hoa got a corner. Bắc Kạn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Trịnh Cuc ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Nguyễn Thanh heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience was convinced that Vũ Ho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phan Khoi was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Bắc Kạn's zone, Bùi Dung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phan Khoi came out of the goal and Bùi Dung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 played minutes Bien Hoa got a freekick which was hit by Bùi Dung. The long shot by Phạm Hoang in the 79th minute really tested Nguyễn Dung's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 91st minute, Trần Thanh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phan Khoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Nguyễn Duong hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Bắc Kạn's goal looked a bit too open when Vũ Ho came free, but Phan Khoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
