In the 8th minute, Nguyễn Cadeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute, Trần Phuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Cadeo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Tan having to make a save. In the 12th minute, Lê Thi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Phu got in the 13th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Nguyễn Tan and thus it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ngô Liem in the 16th minute of play forced viet nam's goalkeeper Trần Tran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Cadeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. Ngô Liem charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ngô Liem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hanoi's Ngô Liem got a free kick in the 21st minute. Nguyễn Tan made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nguyễn Cadeo sent off a good shot on target. After 23 played minutes Hanoi got a freekick which was hit by Lê Thi. Nguyễn Cadeo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Tan having to make a save. viet nam's Trần Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ngô Liem in the 30th minute of play. After 36 minutes of play, Hanoi's Ngô Liem made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trần Tran was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, Hanoi's Trần Hoang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trần Tran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ngô Liem came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Hanoi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ngô Liem couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the match, Trần Hoang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trần Tran. viet nam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Hoang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. After having played for 88 minutes, Nguyễn Cadeo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. viet nam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Cadeo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Nguyễn Cadeo sped through Hanoi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Tan. viet nam's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
