Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nguyễn Tu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Garu FC's Trần Minh Phượng sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Đặng Liem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lê Dong's late challenge caught a Garu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lê Dong helped the player get up and apologised. Lê Dong hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Trần Minh Phượng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Đặng Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Việt Nam's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Minh Phượng came free, but Đặng Liem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Garu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Minh to maneuver through the defense. Trần Phu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tong in the 16th minute of the match. Trần Phu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Tong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Trần Minh Phượng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Minh Phượng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đặng Liem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dương Van Tai Em received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Đặng Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Garu FC's Dương Van Tai Em dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Dương Van Tai Em fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đặng Liem having to interfere. The supporters of Việt Nam booed when Garu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dương Van Tai Em didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garu FC's Trần Phu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Tu in the 42nd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trần Minh Phượng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Tong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute Nguyễn Tu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Phu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Minh Phượng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Đặng Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Việt Nam getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Lê Dong hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Trần Minh Phượng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lê Dong hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Trần Minh Phượng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đặng Liem having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nghiêm Tu during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Việt Nam got a freekick which was hit by Nghiêm Tu. After having played for 67 minutes, Trần Minh Phượng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Minh Phượng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Tong notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Garu FC's Trần Phu. Trần Phu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nguyễn Tu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Phu having to interfere. A collision led to Việt Nam getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Lê Dong hit a great ball. Nguyễn Tu struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Trần Phu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Việt Nam. Garu FC's Trần Minh Phượng got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Việt Nam got a freekick which was hit by Nghiêm Tu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Minh Phượng in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Đặng Liem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Việt Nam succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Garu FC had controlled the match.
