Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Phan Thai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Cuc in the 5th minute of play. Lang Son's Lê Phu got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lang Son's goalkeeper Phan Thai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute Hoàng Mai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Thai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lê Phu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 played minutes Lang Son got a freekick which was hit by Lê Thi Ngoc. Trần Tuyet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lê Phu in the 26th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Hoàng Mai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lang Son's Phan Thai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes in the game, Nguyễn Thuyet fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Trần Tuyet having to interfere. After 34 played minutes, Lang Son's Lưu Huỳnh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trần Tuyet came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lang Son reached it. Nguyễn Thuyet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trần Tuyet having to make a save. Chung Quang Thanh kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Lê Phu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trần Tuyet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hoàng Mai made a kick off. Nguyễn Cuc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Phan Thai made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Lang Son's goalkeeper Phan Thai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Cuc. Hoàng Mai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Phan Thai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Cam Ranh got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Mai. Phan Thai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Mai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Cuc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Phan Thai made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Cam Ranh's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Thuyet came free, but Trần Tuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trần Tuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Phu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lê Phu came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Lang Son fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Phu couldn't finish the play. Trần Tuyet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nguyễn Thuyet went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Hoàng Mai struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Phan Thai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cam Ranh.
