Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Huỳnh Cuc got the match started through his kick off. Nguyễn Ho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huỳnh Cuc in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Cuc in the 6th minute of play forced Da Lat's goalkeeper Nguyễn Ho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Binh hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vi Thanh's zone, Lê Thuy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Pham came out of the goal and Lê Thuy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trần Pham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Thuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Lê Thuy came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Da Lat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Thuy couldn't finish the play. Đào Phuoc's late challenge caught a Vi Thanh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Đào Phuoc helped the player get up and apologised. Vi Thanh's Võ Viet got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Ho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Võ Viet in the 20th minute of play. Huỳnh Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vi Thanh's Trần Pham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Thuy in the 26th minute of play. Vi Thanh's Huỳnh Cuc got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Võ Viet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vi Thanh's Huỳnh Cuc in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Da Lat's goalie prevented a goal. Huỳnh Hung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Huỳnh Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huỳnh Hung in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Trần Pham, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lê Thuy to strike the kick off in the second half. Võ Viet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Ho having to interfere. The supporters of Vi Thanh booed when Da Lat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Thanh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phan Diem hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Tu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trần Pham. Vi Thanh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Võ Viet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nguyễn Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Cuc in the 69th minute of play forced Da Lat's goalkeeper Nguyễn Ho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Võ Viet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 83 minutes into the match, Lê Thuy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trần Pham. Vi Thanh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lê Thuy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vi Thanh's goalkeeper Trần Pham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Da Lat had won after a very even match.
