Nguyễn Liem's late challenge caught a Paris Saint Germain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Liem helped the player get up and apologised. Nguyễn Liem kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Phạm Phuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th match minute, Quang Ninh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phạm Thi to maneuver through the defense. The Quang Ninh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lương Hong should have stopped the shot. Phạm Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Nhật Minh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paris Saint Germain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quang Ninh the free kick. After a rather tough play, Paris Saint Germain's Nguyễn Nhật Minh got a free kick in the 47th minute. Phạm Thi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Liem couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Liem in the 79th minute of play forced Paris Saint Germain's goalkeeper Nguyễn Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quang Ninh's Lương Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Quang Ninh from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Quang Ninh's Lê Tinh got a free kick in the 88th minute. Lương Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hoàng Minh Phượng in the 92nd minute. The Paris Saint Germain players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
