Mong Cai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Mai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trần Minh-ha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lê Thanh Bình tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Trần Minh-ha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lê Thanh Bình. Trần Minh-ha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Trần Minh-ha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nguyễn Loc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chung Nhật Minh having to make a save. Lê Thanh Bình made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Mai in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Tuyen Quang's Nguyễn Viet got a free kick in the 24th minute. Nguyễn Mai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Thanh Bình having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Mong Cai's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Dung came free, but Chung Nhật Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Mai Huynh Duc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tuyen Quang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mong Cai the free kick. A collision led to Tuyen Quang getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Mai Huynh Duc hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Mong Cai's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Dung came free, but Chung Nhật Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trần Dung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chung Nhật Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Loc in the 42nd minute of the match. Nguyễn Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Trần Minh-ha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Thanh Bình saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Loc made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Tấn Dũng during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tuyen Quang booed when Mong Cai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trần Minh-ha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lê Thanh Bình having to make a save. With a little luck, Mong Cai's Chung Nhật Minh got control of the ball when Trần Dung tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mong Cai's zone, Nguyễn Loc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chung Nhật Minh came out of the goal and Nguyễn Loc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Mai in the 67th minute of play forced Tuyen Quang's goalkeeper Lê Thanh Bình to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Trần Minh-ha made a precise shot to the right of Lê Thanh Bình. Tuyen Quang's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A collision led to Mong Cai getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Trần Tran hit a great ball. A hard shot 74 in the game by Trần Dung from a close distance when the talented Chung Nhật Minh managed to make a qualified save. Mong Cai's players were relieved. After 75 played minutes Mong Cai got a freekick which was hit by Phan Pham. After a defensive mix-up in Mong Cai's zone, Trần Dung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chung Nhật Minh came out of the goal and Trần Dung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Trần Tran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mong Cai's Trần Tran got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Mai in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lê Thanh Bình prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Mong Cai getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Nguyễn Cuc hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Mong Cai's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Loc came free, but Chung Nhật Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lê Thanh Bình showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Minh-ha in the 91st minute of the match. Đặng Cadeo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Loc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mong Cai's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
