Hoa Binh's Liễu Binh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 3rd minute of play. Liễu Binh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Thi Ngoc's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hoa Binh's zone, Nguyễn Tong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liễu Binh came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Hoa Binh getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Nguyễn Hoai hit a great ball. Nguyễn Tong took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Liễu Binh. Liễu Binh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
Hoa Binh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Nguyễn Tong scored to the left of an out of position Liễu Binh, making the score, 0-3. Liễu Binh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Tong, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Lưu Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lưu Nam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lê Hoang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lê Tấn Dũng's late challenge caught a Hoa Binh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Hoa Binh supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Trang Bang's performance. The match ended with a win for Trang Bang.
