Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) NAST FLC's Lý Van Quyen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes NAST FLC got a freekick which was hit by Trần Thuy. In the 5th match minute, Kon Tum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mai Minh Phượng to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Kon Tum's goal looked a bit too open when Lý Van Quyen came free, but Nguyễn Chi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Kon Tum got a freekick which was hit by Huỳnh Dinh. Trần Nguyet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Hoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Nga in the 17th minute of play. Lê Thi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Nguyễn Chi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NAST FLC's Nguyễn Hoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Nga in the 27th minute of play. Bùi Thi Ngoc kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Trần Nguyet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nguyễn Hoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Lý Van Quyen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NAST FLC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lý Van Quyen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Lê Nga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Hoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NAST FLC and the Kon Tum players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, NAST FLC's Nguyễn Tuan Hoang got a free kick in the 39th minute. Nguyễn Hoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Nguyet in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lê Nga to make the kick off. Lê Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Lê Lien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lý Van Quyen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Lý Van Quyen managed to get in a good position for a shot. NAST FLC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lý Van Quyen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Chi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lý Van Quyen in the 64th minute of play forced Kon Tum's goalkeeper Nguyễn Chi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Trần Nguyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lê Nga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Nguyễn Hoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Chi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lý Van Quyen, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, NAST FLC's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Nga came free, but Nguyễn Hoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Trần Thuy came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the NAST FLC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Thuy couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Kon Tum booed when NAST FLC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Lien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trần Nguyet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hoa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Trần Nguyet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
