Đặng Huynh Duc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Huỳnh Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trịnh Dung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Võ Lan having to interfere. kris's Huỳnh Hung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đặng Huynh Duc in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute Đặng Huynh Duc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Huỳnh Hung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Đặng Huynh Duc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Trịnh Dung could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Võ Lan made a huge save. Đặng Huynh Duc scored 1-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Huỳnh Hung, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trịnh Dung struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Võ Lan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for kris. If Phạm Tho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of PHI HUNG booed when kris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vương Tấn Dũng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huỳnh Hung stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Thi's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Phạm Tho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Võ Lan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to PHI HUNG getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nguyễn Tinh hit a great ball. Nguyễn Tinh kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Hoàng Minh was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Đặng Huynh Duc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Huỳnh Hung was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Võ Lan came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by kris's Trịnh Dung. But to his dismay, Trịnh Dung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Vũ Tuan didn't quite understand what happened when in the 91 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Phạm Thanh kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute PHI HUNG were awarded a corner. Vũ Tuan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of kris's goalie and right to Huỳnh Nguyet. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. kris's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
