Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Qui Nhon's Nguyễn Pham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bùi Bay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Chi having to interfere. Nguyễn Pham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Nguyễn Tuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Nam during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nguyễn Nam kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Hoàng Nhật Minh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Tuyet made a huge save. Nguyễn Thuy kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Qui Nhon's Hoàng Chi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Võ Cuc in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Nguyễn Pham fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nguyễn Tuyet, passed just outside the right post. Qui Nhon's Hoàng Nhật Minh got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Võ Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Chi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Qui Nhon's Đinh Diem got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Bùi Bay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Chi having to interfere. When Cai Be's Bùi Bay in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Qui Nhon's goalie prevented a goal.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Võ Cuc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Nguyễn Chi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Qui Nhon's Hoàng Chi did a great save. Qui Nhon's Hoàng Chi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Võ Cuc in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Nhật Minh in the 58th minute of play forced Cai Be's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tuyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hoàng Nhật Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tuyet having to interfere. When Võ Cuc came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Cai Be fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Võ Cuc couldn't finish the play. Võ Cuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hoàng Chi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Lê Tan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hồ Dinh fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cai Be's protests and gave Hồ Dinh a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Qui Nhon booed when Cai Be was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hồ Dinh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cai Be's zone, Nguyễn Pham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Tuyet came out of the goal and Nguyễn Pham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Qui Nhon booed when Cai Be was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Duc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hoàng Nhật Minh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Cai Be's Bùi Bay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hoàng Chi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Võ Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Chi having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Qui Nhon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Pham to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Hieu Ngan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qui Nhon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cai Be the free kick. Cai Be's Nguyễn Chi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hoàng Chi but with some difficulty. Bùi Bay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
