Phùng Lien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Trần Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Phuong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Ho having to interfere. After 11 played minutes VU TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Hong Minh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Thuy in the 14th minute of play forced VU TEAM's goalkeeper Trần Ho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to VU TEAM getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nguyễn Hong Minh hit a great ball. When TrongADen's Nguyễn Thuy in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VU TEAM's goalie prevented a goal. Trần Ho came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by TrongADen's Nguyễn Phuong. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Phuong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Phùng Lien during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Phùng Lien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, one of TrongADen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TrongADen. In the 33rd minute Hoàng Xuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Tuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Tuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Xuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Phuong got free with Trần Ho in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phạm Phuong stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hoàng Xuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Nguyễn Tuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Liễu Than fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VU TEAM's protests and gave Liễu Than a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, VU TEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liễu Than to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Tuyet made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Hoàng Xuan sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th match minute, VU TEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Hong Minh to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, TrongADen's Phan Thi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Nguyễn Thuy came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the TrongADen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Thuy couldn't finish the play. Nguyễn Thuy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Nguyễn Tuyet successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nguyễn Phuong spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of VU TEAM's goal. In the 79th minute, Nguyễn Thuy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nguyễn Tuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phạm Phuong, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Nguyễn Phuong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes of play, VU TEAM's Phạm Phuong made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Tuyet was left in no man's land by his defense there! TrongADen were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing VU TEAM to leave the ground with a draw.
