In the 26th minute, Nghe An's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hoàng Xuan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. VU TEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phạm Phuong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phạm Phuong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hoàng Xuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Anh Hung having to interfere. Trần Thuyet hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Nghe An got a freekick which was hit by Trần Thi Ngoc. 94 minutes into the match, VU TEAM's Phan Diem broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nghe An players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VU TEAM.
