Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lê Duc started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Bùi Loc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Thanh Bình saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lê Thanh Bình showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Thien in the 8th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Lê Duc sped through Lang Son's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Đặng Liem. After 13 played minutes My Tho got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Phuc. Bùi Loc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lương Minh-ha hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. My Tho's Lê Thanh Bình played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bùi Loc in the 22nd minute of play. Hoàng Phuc hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in My Tho's zone, Bùi Loc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Thanh Bình came out of the goal and Bùi Loc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Đặng Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lang Son's Đặng Liem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Duc in the 33rd minute of play. If Nguyễn Thien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đặng Liem didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. 48 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Thien notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of My Tho's Lê Thanh Bình. Lê Thanh Bình was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. Đặng Liem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Duc in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Nguyễn Minh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lang Son's Đặng Liem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bùi Chuong kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Lang Son was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Duc to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Bùi Chuong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 minutes, Lê Duc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lang Son and the My Tho players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Lang Son got a freekick which was hit by Lê Duc. Dương Nhật Minh's late challenge caught a Lang Son's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dương Nhật Minh helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of My Tho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lang Son:s goal. Lê Thanh Bình had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Nguyễn Duc's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 87 minutes into the match, My Tho's goalkeeper Lê Thanh Bình had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bùi Loc. Đặng Liem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Duc in the 93rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Nguyễn Minh put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Đặng Liem. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. My Tho were victorious despite being under pressure from Lang Son for much of the match.
