The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 18th minute, Dak To's Phan Cong Vinh fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Nguyễn Teo was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dak To fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. The Phu Ly supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dak To's performance. The match ended with a win for Dak To.
