Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nguyễn Hoai started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Lang Son's Đặng Liem got control of the ball when Võ Nam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Đặng Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Hoai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Lang Son's Nguyễn Thien sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Teo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Nguyễn Hoai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bùi Loc in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Teo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Nguyễn Thien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lang Son's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Thien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Teo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bùi Loc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nguyễn Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Võ Nam got free with Đặng Liem in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Lang Son's zone, Nguyễn Hoai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Đặng Liem came out of the goal and Nguyễn Hoai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bùi Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th match minute, Lang Son was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Duc to maneuver through the defense. Võ Nam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 34 played minutes Lang Son got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Duc. The audience thought a goal was coming when Võ Nam got free with Đặng Liem in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40thth minute of the game Nguyễn Hoai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lang Son's Đặng Liem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lê Duc kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Võ Nam came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Phu Ly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Võ Nam couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Lang Son booed when Phu Ly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lương Pham didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nguyễn Thien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Thien made a kick off. In the 59th minute of the match, Bùi Loc got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nguyễn Teo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Phu Ly's Tạ Lien got a free kick in the 60th minute. Nguyễn Hoai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đặng Liem having to interfere. Nguyễn Thien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Hoai in the 83rd minute of play forced Lang Son's goalkeeper Đặng Liem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Thien blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Teo having to make a save. In the 92nd minute of the match Lương Pham sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Đặng Liem skillfully saved the ball. Võ Nam scored 1-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Đặng Liem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Hoai might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Đặng Liem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Hoai ran back to his position shaking his head. Phu Ly were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lang Son for a fine match.
