Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lê Hanh kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ha Noi's zone, Nguyễn Bay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Quang came out of the goal and Nguyễn Bay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Diem kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Thi in the 11th minute of play forced Ha Noi's goalkeeper Trần Quang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phùng Hung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Anh Hung, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A collision led to Ha Noi getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nguyễn Van Quyen hit a great ball. Nguyễn Bay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Quang having to interfere. If Lê Hanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ha Noi's Trần Phuong got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Thi lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Trần Quang. In the 39th minute, Nguyễn Van Quyen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Bay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ha Noi's Nguyễn Anh Hung got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lê Hanh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Phùng Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Phuoc Tich getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Nguyễn Nhật Minh hit a great ball. The supporters of Phuoc Tich booed when Ha Noi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Bien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phùng Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Hanh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Anh Hung blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phùng Hung having to make a save. When Nguyễn Thi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Phuoc Tich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Thi couldn't finish the play. Nguyễn Anh Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Phùng Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Phuoc Tich got a freekick which was hit by Phan Hung. In the 95th minute, Nguyễn Bay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phuoc Tich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ha Noi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
